🌼 Spreading Pollination Power Across SEQ 🐝

Thanks to our growing network of native bee hives, over 160,000 stingless native bees are now at work across South East Queensland, creating living pollination hubs in playgrounds, gardens, and community spaces.

Each hive houses around 10,000 bees, and every bee visits up to 1,000 flowers per day. That means one hive can pollinate up to 10 million flowers daily—and across our network, that’s a staggering 160 million flower visits every single day.

Native bees may be small, but their impact is mighty. They typically forage within a 500-metre radius of their hive, meaning each installation supports pollination over nearly 80 hectares—the equivalent of more than 100 soccer fields. Multiply that by all the hives on the map, and you've got a powerful, buzzing force for local biodiversity.

These hives don't just support flowers—they spark conversations, curiosity, and care for the environment. With every wingbeat, our little pollinators are helping children learn, gardens bloom, and ecosystems thrive.

Let’s keep planting, learning, and buzzing forward—together. 🐝
